How it works.
Contaminants and impurities like iron and zinc clog your pickling process and waste valuable acid. Our systems meticulously filter all impurities and render your acid truly new again.
Waste acid is fed through a pre-filter to remove suspended particles.
The filtered solution passes through the Primary Exchanger. Chilled recovered acid returning to the Pickling Tank cools the hot incoming acid, greatly reducing energy consumption.
The acid enters the Reactor where it is chilled to form a ferrous sulfate crystal.
The crystals quickly settle to the bottom of the Crystal Settler while the recovered acid overflows into a pump station, traveling back through the Primary Exchanger where it is reheated before returning to the Pickling Tank.
The crystals are pumped from the Crystal Settler to a Centrifuge which separates the thick slurry into dry ferrous sulfate crystals and a small acid stream.
