Hydrochloric acid recovery
HCl Recovery
Discover the power of a high-speed, sustainable pickling solution. Not just industry-leading acid recovery; this is industry-defining.

Acid recovery using vacuum evaporation.
Heavy metals and contaminants slow your pickling process (also leaching or ion exchange) and waste valuable acid. Our systems meticulously remove impurities, enabling the reuse of clean acid.
«The HCl Recovery System is flexible enough to recover certain mixed acids.
Incoming waste acid is pumped through a Pre-Filter into an evaporation loop, comprised of:
a.) Evaporator Exchanger
b.) Separator Tank
c.) Centrifugal Pump
In this loop, the waste acid is pumped under one Bar (a) pressure through the heat exchanger and heated above the boiling temperature of both acid and water.
The pressurized, heated solution enters the Separator, where the water and hydrochloric acid flash from the pressurized liquid phase to vapor. The heavy metals remain in the concentrate solution, which continues to circulate until reaching a preset concentration for discharge.
The water and acid vapor exit the Separator through the top spool and flow into a tank consisting of two sections: the Rectifier on top and the Recovered Acid Tank on the lower section. The acid vapor cools to liquid form and exits the process for reuse in the plant. The water vapor rises through the Rectifier and continues its journey into the Condenser, where it condenses to liquid and is discharged to a storage tank.
The Vacuum Pump maintains a sub-atmospheric pressure throughout all three tanks (e.g., Separator Tank, Rectifier/Recovered Acid Tank, and Recovered Water Tank).
EQUIPMENT SIZING
Acid recovery—one size does not fit all.
Our engineering team can accommodate most space constraints and provide drawings for planning your acid recovery area:
3D model – shows exactly how our system will fit into your facility—giving you confidence in the design before you make a purchasing decision.
General Arrangement drawing – identifies the in/out port sizes, port heights, piping materials, and as-built dimensions.
Concrete Layout drawing – details and dimensions on a curb for containment, plinths, and a small sump.
